I am the Artistic Director of this project, below is the description of said project!
This project is the culmination of everything that is near and dear to my heart: family, storytelling, and music. Foster's Point is a concept EP that examines different stories and perspectives based on my maternal grandparents' homestead in coastal Beverly, MA, USA. I wanted the theme of the EP to be centered around what it means to be "home." What I learned writing this EP not only changed my perspectives about my family, but also increased my capabilities as a songwriter to create narratives that are linked in theme but separate in execution of performance and composition. Each song focuses on a different person's perspective, or my interpretation of their experiences in some cases. Each song also describes how "home" can mean very different things to a lot of people, even when they are all in the same family. Whether home is where you're from, where you'd rather be, or where life happens to bring you that day, home is a concept that makes us all feel different things... and all those emotions are completely valid. While I have released single tracks and premiered music in other capacities, I couldn't be prouder that this is the project that will be my debut EP. This project is my love letter to a place that means so much to my family, and a lot of love is being put into this work to make it the best it can be.
